Please don't fool around with flooded creeks Just had news one of my mates father got washed off a crossing on Cox's ck near here and drowned we've had heaps of vehicle's pushed sideways here. This one went over Bloody awful, the passenger managed to escape and cling to a tree for two hours till she managed to make it to land, then walk over 8kms knowing there was no hope

    And a few moments earlier

Although this water way was harmless, it just shows how quickly it can rise.

Deluge blocks Great Alpine Rd, but ski slopes are still rebounding after spate of bad weather | Herald Sun

HEAVY rain has triggered a landslide in northeast Victoria and closed part of the Great Alpine Road.

A VicRoads spokeswoman says road crews have removed over 100 tonnes of material and hope to have the road which leads to the Mt Hotham ski resort open again later today.

The landslide closed part of the road between Porepunkah and Bright with traffic diverted along the Porepunkah back road.

The alpine region, about 300km northeast of Melbourne, has been drenched with over 50mm of rain in some parts in the past 24 hours.

I read in the Shepp News today that some parts got 100 mm of rain.
