Paul, I like both of your plates!

025apr is my birthday, 018aug is my mother's birthday...

    What a coincidence!

Funnier if your username is your year of birth... My old chook is a '58 model...

In WA it's a "one-off" cost to purchase the plates - normal annual rego fees apply thereafter. Initial cost varies depending on the style of plates selected. Can be anything from about $250 to almost $1,000. Mine were just over $500.

The young bloke tried to get "ROTARY" for his RX7 but this was not available, so he has a variation of the word instead.
    Cheers .........

Monday morning at the RTA I bought the Val to get it into my name, swapped the plates from my Torana and then sold the Val back to him. .
    I reckon that's good.

    Can somebody answer this...

In NSW (maybe other states, I don't know) you can get numberplates that are black background with either blue or red rego numbers, there are other colours but these two colours are particularly bad as they are not very legible. I thought number plates had to be legible out to a certain distance. These plates are also smaller than the standard NSW yellow plates.

If a car bearing these types of plates is involved in.....say.....a hit and run, it would be difficult for witnesses to record the cars rego plates.

So, yes, my ****** plate looks like most other plates in SA, but is "personalised" to suit me. RAT-135

In NSW that plate would cost you an extra $440 annually plus intial purchase price not forgetting your normal annual rego fee!!
