DONATIONS WANTED FOR CHRIS HARDIE'S FAMILY

    People.
We have a sad story,a WA member who was a specialist landy mechanic in Kelmscott is no longer with us.
Chris took his own life, one cant imagine what would drive him to do so,he lost the battle with his demons.
Chris only married in the past few months,he leaves behind a 9 year old son and a pregnant wife.
If any of you AULRO members can spare a fiver or tenner or better please donate to help the family out in this tough time.
Lardy has BSB/AC details and has put his hand up to pass them on,please send him a PM to get them http://www.aulro.com/afvb/private.php'do=newpm&u=18837
If you havent seen the thread about Chris see here.http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-ch...is-hardie.html
    Thanks people.

Thanks Andrew, I hope we can all band together and help his family though this.

I know I'm banging on about it but I just want to reitterate to everyone again how hard it is for families when assets are frozen. When someone passes the banks legally have to freeze all accounts in the name of the person who has passed. Business, personal, credit cards - everything. They don't get unfrozen until the bank has had certification of their passing and has assessed the Will. If there isn't a Will or if the funds held are significant it gets very complicated and can take weeks - this process of course not even commencing until you have the certificate and signed and witnessed documents and you're in a headspace to actually deal with the bank. Chris' family will be doing it incredibly tough and financial stress is the last thing they need.

Thanks for your efforts Keith,Andrew,Sara and Si,
I am proud of the efforts of all the forum members that have posted their feelings on the loss of Chris and the understanding of the effects there upon his young family.
This is proving to be less like a forum, but more like an extended family even if we never meet we have a connection and have a care towards our fellow members, this has been shown time and again whenever someone is in need from being stuck on the side of the road or needing advice there is always someone there.
If you don't have the ability to help financially keith (Beefy) mentioned that a hand at the business may well be useful to help break it down.
    Cheers Andy.

I'm sure we all can help. I think their were over 7000 hits on the original thread, a few bucks each would realy help his family at this very sad time.

I'd like to throw out there as well that some might not be in a position to help financially but many of us are parents and know the stresses that a new baby will bring. Maybe you've got a box of left over newborn nappies or some clothes your children have outgrown that you were going to get around to donating - things like that could make the world of difference to Chris' family even if they're not needed in the immediate future.

Fine to jolly every one along Keith but remember it is the weekend and most bank transfers will not appear until Monday at the earliest. I know there has been more than $50 bucks put in the account. I transferred money at 10.19 pm on Friday and it obviously hasn't turned up yet.

    Cheers

I know my bank (Wpac) doesn't show transactions until Tuesday morning following a weekend. I would think then you should see a movement in the force.
