    I read in the local rag that did an interview with the LR top brass in Melbourne that they are working on a new LR engine. Ford is gone by the look if it.

    looks like you will be able to watch them reveal the concept at frankfurt using this link.

    "See the Land Rover DC100 unveiled, LIVE from the Frankfurt Motor show
    Stop by on the 13th September at exactly 0915hrs CET to see the live stream reveal below from the Frankfurt Motor Show "

    I think that is the 13th at 5.15pm for us.

    The shorty looks horrible but I dont mind the mock up of the 4 door. I think the main issue is they both look soft. We all know it shows a shift from serious off roader to something to drop the kids off at the private school.

    I like the 2 door as a vehicle in it's own right.
    But yes I agree it is not a Defender. How would you get a current Defender to pass the latest design laws (Running them over doesn't count).

    Australian Eastern Standard Time (EST = GMT+10) is 9 hours ahead of Central European Time (CET = GMT+1) so, by my reckoning, the time in eastern Australia for the live link is 6.15 pm (1815 hrs).

    Interesting take on what makes a Defender a Defender and that then applied to the DC100 concept vehicle on the Fun Rover blog: What Makes a Defender Iconic? | FunRover - A Land Rover Blog for Landy nuts

    Another source, a motoring reporter recently in the land of pom got a sneaky preview. There are plans for long, short, station wagon, and ute versions.

    CEST = 8hrs
    Current local time in Germany – Hesse – Frankfurt

    Edit: Note they have said CET, but sounds lilke they've forgotten too.
