Hmm,years ago when I was a kid the dog stirred up a bearded dragon.

I grabbed the dog by it’s collar and the lizard grabbed my thumb.

The bloody thing wouldn’t let go.Eventually it did,I turned around and the old man was laughing his head off

Off to the doc, tetanus shot,a heap of stitches,I still have the scar on my thumb.

Rats were bad as well, used to go with the old man trapping them for environmental research, all over the country.
Used to get them out of the traps into a small pillow slip sized bag,to weigh them, sex them, measure them, then clip the ear for ID,then let them go.
We had to be so carefull as they would give a nasty bight
They were bloody quick as well.
The traps were Elliot traps, made to catch the rats, and what ever else ventured in, alive.
These were native rats, although most rats found are native anyway.

Eeeeerrrrr, why in the hell did they want them released? You'd think they would have met their end.

Had to let them go,it was out in the scrub, native animal, and all that.Sometimes we used to get snakes in those traps, other times they used to disappear, maybe a fox got its head stuck in and bolted, with the trap stuck on its head, who knows.

Fridgies are all a bit weird, thought you would know that by now.
I started young, sexing rats started it all

Have to blame my Dad,he shouldn't have picked the one with a hole in it silly bugga

Hmm. Randlover, and perhaps he donated half to the club, so large signs could be placed, and a training officer employed.

Then again, maybe that makes me the dumb one.

I also take responsibility for my own mistakes.

It's the only way you grow into doing stuff that is personally rewarding, that some other people would never attempt.

All the 'errors' I've made have been from rushing to get something done, doesn't happen much these days because I've learnt (how to learn).

Greedy bastard! He just couldn't help grabbing for the largest Steak before any one else so Kraig didn't use the tongs supplied.

Kraig? Who the **** calls their kid Kraig? I know, I know, Mr & Mrs Dann. Idiots!

So an old Fridgie i have known for around 45 yrs decided to leave us last week
Mesothelioma got him, after 86 yrs,so didn't do to badly i suppose. He was bloody good at sorting the old temprites,750 valves, needle and seats, knew all the tricks with them.
And Kelvy compressors,we used to rebuild them, all different models of open drives, semi's,etc.
    Did his time at Buzzacots.

Anyway,i dropped into see him about 3 weeks ago.His wive took off about 30 yrs ago.
So i sit on the 40yr old couch, had the dog with me that day,so she lies down at my feet,on the floor.
The dog wouldn't settle down, every now and then would get up and growl, had her ears pricked, wasn't happy about something.

Anyway, after an hour or so of chit chat, out of one of the bedrooms down the hall, appear two young ladies.

Oh,he says, just making the most of it before its all over...

So we shook hands, and after 45yrs,thats the last time i saw him.
