    Yeh, I think that would be best also. Camping there would also be great. The good thing is you can head up or down the river, avoiding the lake altogether (a bit boring I thought).

    BTW, would love to come check out your auto conversion one day

    I cant remember the name of the creek, but it is accessed from the Cooloola Way via a power line track to a pumping station and weir.

    Launched the canoe there and paddled 6 k's to the Noosa R opposite Camp 13 (I think) then paddled down to Harry's over a couple of days with a mate. It was very enjoyable even though it rained for a lot of it.

    A nice walk to the sand blow from Camp 3 also.

    No, I meant we hired a tinny.

    Weeds' canoe is bloody big, and I reckon it would take 4 adults and 2 littlies, but we never tried. Best we did was me, SWMBO, BIL's partner (both pretty small ladies) and the 3yo and 5yo in Cooloothin Creek. The canoe still had almost a foot out of the water!
