You have been told why, but you seem to be so focussed on what you want to do that you seem to have difficulty appreciating the problems other people had to deal with when the sort of "debate" you want was permitted.

I bet it's ok for me to have an interest in politics if I praise the PM or the government but sure as **** if I want to have a go at them I am a problem...

Some of you guys are so blindly hypocritical and still can't help playing the man when you are faced with stuff you don't agree with, or people who think differently to you that wont be bullied into submission.

    Rack off bully boy.

That's the only improvement I would suggest. I know you can use google to search Aulro, that's what I do most of the time now, but it would be great to do it from within the site.

Sparksdisco, please read all of this thread to understand the context in which my post was made and then read my post carefully. It should be obvious that all of my post apart from the last paragraph is a comment on what another member is recommending, not an attack on that member.

As for the last paragraph, can you come up with a better explanation of why someone would continue to ask for something when Inc and a couple of moderators have told him that it won't be happening and explained why?

Ha! Never noticed that... silly me!

As you were Inc & Co, the site is perfect...

Actually, I do have two suggestions (with tongue firmly wedged in cheek):

    1. Spell/grammar check and auto correct for posts
    2. A special filter for passive-aggressive lunatics who want to keep ranting about Julia Gillard in EVERY ****ING THREAD.

    Cheers,

    Adam

so ads shouldnt cause a slowdown
and they dont, if i use the lightweight skin it makes little difference to the speed of the place.

so it has to be database lookups or isp transparent proxies or the size of the pipe from isps into the brisbane pipenetworks ix where i have the servers housed.

one of the reasons i have them there is because it makes aulro.com free content on many isp's but it has downsides as well.

i see the site on many different machines and operating systems every week in my line of work.

when people are complaining that it is a snail i have others who say it is still fast for them.

it is what it is, when i win lotto i will put in on a cray in downtown new york

people using ad-block and not subscribing don't help

man might have to fit that adblock blocking script

Is there a better way of managing mobile access than Tapatalk? Not sure what it is about that app, but it bugs me. I would like to have a sexy little AULRO app button that takes me straight into the forum. Even if it is just a pseudo-app that launchs into the Tapatalk forum it would still be nice.

Have you tried ForumRunner? Personally I think ForumRunner is great.

I'm fairly new here and I love the forum, has helped heaps with my projects.
Can I put a (non party political) vote in for an AULRO Facebook page?

    Keep up the good work.
    Cheers. Rohan.
