Well we are sitting in our kitchen at the moment and the temperature is-------
as I walk over to the thermometers -----, 42°C outside and 28°C inside.
No air conditioning, but lots of insulation in all the walls, roof and double glazed windows.
I have been outside most of the day and have been fair dripping with sweat as I have been working, though I have been sneaking a peep at the forum when I came inside for a drink.
The latest news is that the Dunalley primary school has been lost to a bush fire, now verified.
Lots of smoke our way going over from a fire at Ellendale, well away from our place at the moment.

Dunalley 50 at the time of the fire with 65 building lost and possible one life.
In another parts people are in the waterfront or evacuated by boat
A sad day for Tasmania![]()
Makes that cute little 'heat wave' in WA seem tame!
Hopefully no lives lost in Tassie today...
Just drove from Adelaide to Melbourne today.
I wanted to get to the cooler weather.
