Just heard from my daughter. The Kolan River has broken it's banks and the floodwater, combined with the floodwater from the Burnett river is now threatening Moore Park Beach. Petrol from the local servo is rationed and the IAG store is nearly out of food. Army Blackhawk helicopters are flying over all the time.
Daughter is reasonably confident they won't be flooded as they are on a slight rise.

Daughter has just EMailed me these photo's, she took this morning.
Road into Moore Park Beach, the floodwaters are starting to wash over the road, the Service Station is just around the corner to the left.

Keeping in daily contact with my daughter, Moore Park Beach is still cut off and they are going to send food supplies in to the local IGA store by Blackhawk helicopter. A state of emergency was declared there yesterday, so I guess it brings that area in line with the rest of Bundaberg.
Good news is the flood waters appear to be slowly receding.Are other Forum members in Bundaberg doing OK????

Bris northside jobs are all but cleaned up, and we have a 50+ taskforce heading up there on Sunday.

The drainage in Moore Park Beach is terrible, about 10mm in 500 meters. I know it because we went to the same trouble 2 years ago and surveyors measured the levels on the back lagoons.
It will take about a year for the water to come down to a healthy levels in the back lagoons. Mosquitos and smell will be terrible
I am glad that I sold just 12 months ago.
