We lost a footy club stalwart about three weeks ago to the same pancreatic cancer. As has been stated, it is probably one of the worst.

Andy, I feel for you. My deepest condolences.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Sorry to hear that, it is not an easy thing to face, but this is our frail human nature.
I have already lost my brother in law to lung cancer and my sister in law to breast cancer.
My second sister in law is in her last stage of metastasis.

I am utterly shocked when I read about the amount of money spent to manufacture weapons, if half of it was spent of medical research, I am sure that a cure could have been found.
The second half could be used to teach peace and democracy.

That's rotten news Andy. I think you would be hard pressed to not know someone who has been touched by this mongrel of a disease. Keep your head up mate.

Sorry to hear Andrew. It's never an easy issue to cope with.

I lost my father to cancer a little while back. Spoke with him on a Friday night from Kalgoorlie and caught a flight from Perth early next morning to Hobart. He passed away about 10 minutes before I arrived at the hospital.

I never coped with it very well - and feel for anyone going through the same thing, whether with family or good friends.
    Cheers .........

My neighbour's father is one of the few success stories about pancreatic cancer. It is now 8 years since he was diagnosed and treated and is still with us, hale and hearty. They were told most pancreatic cancer patients die within six months of diagnosis and only 5% survive five years.
