Kumho RoadVenture 834

Anyone fitted Kumho RoadVenture 834 tyres and have any opinion on them?

they look the goods for what i want but have had no experience with kumho's tyres except those on my hyundai and they have been fine...

dunlop adventurers were fine but they are now scolloping and rough to ride on.

I have Kumho RoadVenture AT's on the Defender.

These are great on-road and in the wet. Also good in sand and dirt, but tend to clog up in the mud due to relatively closed tread pattern.

The MT 834's have a more agressive tread pattern and would naturally be better in most off-road situations.

This agressive tread, however, would limit adhesion on-road in the wet and the tyres would wear more quickly. (I wonder how many KM's one could expect from these tyres ?)

My general experience of Kumho tyres on various vehicles has been positive with good wear rates and few punctures. Not that these characteristics will necessarily be shared by the 834 though.

I'd certainly be having a close look at the 834's when it comes time to replace the AT's. Of course, if I had another 5 rims......

What's the going price for the 834's and how does this compare to other similar tyres you have looked at ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Interesting choice "O Starless One"

were you after a traditional bar type tyre or just something "to suit"

i wanted an agressive tread pattern that could handle mud gravel and rock, ala whats on the roads where i hang out, with out the price tag attached to some of the radial m/t tyres.

the truck doesnt do that much hi-way work mainly getting from here to kenniworth, kilcoy, and beerburrum etc

real 7.50x16 bar treads are now almost non existant and really not what i was looking for as they are a little too slippery on the black stuff for me.

these look ideal, the longer i look at them the more they appeal to me.

hopefully they wont disappoint....

 twas thinking that they look very similar to bar treads albeit with an extra groove and a wobbly bar, and slightly more "chunky",they look like they could be quite grippy in the squishy stuff!!!! 8)

and here i was thinking they were a nice herringbone pattern... well almost

yeah they do look a little bar tready, but with the angled bars it should be a much better tyre for what i use the unit for

i hope
