Just had an email. One of those pass it round ones, as one gets.
This said the Cardwell Council had banned Christmas lights due to complaints from the 100 strong Muslim community there.
It said they found the Christian practice offensive and it should be done in the privacy of there own homes.
Can anyone from up there confirm this or is it another of those half truth beatups.

Do you mean it is a pain living next to the sort of person who tries to stir up trouble by sending out hoax emails?

The only other meaning I can think of would be one that has racist overtones, so I'm sure it can't be that, especially at this time of Peace and Goodwill to All Men and Women.

Should of been more clear. I have a great dislike for houses with Xmas light displays since tow doors town started doing it . The the traffic has to be seen to be believed ******* blowing horns and crap well past a normal sane mans bed time flaming Xmas carols on there p.a and kids and arsehole parents walking and smashing there way through my garden with out a care in the world and my lawns rooted. Just rude self righteous arrogant ******

Every house on our side of the street has lights up, and most of the other side. Looks great, and you put up with the extra traffic, it's Christmas - relax and smile a little.
