Well, at least at one point in the day.

Nothing wrong with the weather today - a nice temperature in the low thirties.

yesterday, another matter - 45C, and still high thirties at midnight (down to 19C by dawn though).

Yes, it is quite hot enough for me, more of it will be a decidedly catastrophic issue.
You see, I'm currently staying at the Marriot beach resort in that Thai Island that the swear filter won't let me type.
So if it gets any hotter, I will be forced to get up, and move my sun lounge slightly more to the left, for some more shade. This means my beverages will take longer to arrive when the staff bring them over to me, I will be forced to adjust my airconditioned apartment when I return, which is always a chore, and too much heat will mean all the pretty girls lounging by the pool will go away.
So yes, quite hot enough, no more thank you.
    Blasted heat.

Seriously though, it's quite nice here
Careful! I'm not sure if your poor body, from the frozen wastelands and permafrost of Orange will be able to stand the heat of the resort of "Oh-damn-it".

Seriously, it sounds terrible. Especially when you need to lift your arm to summon one of the bar staff. Life is hard.

Stay away from the Ping Pong shows though. I went to one with bat in hand, and when I returned her "serve", it gave her an awful surprise!

The pool is in the shade from 4pm! I'm considering putting the shade sails back up that blew down a couple of years ago.

Sitting here on the back verandah with a nice iced drink, it's cooled down to 38 with a light breeze. Just got out of the pool for the fourth time this afternoon (this morning was a training event with my son's cadet group, I felt for them in their uniforms!) and even the dog isn't huffing and puffing any more.

Our daughter & her fiancé are presently in Thailand at Koh Phangan, & are about to move to Samui. Daughter , having backpacked thru Vietnam, & having just received her teaching registration, is curious to see the difference in the culture of the 2 nations. The highlight of future husbands holiday so far has been the fact that beers are $3 , & you can walk the streets while drinking them. & something about a zip line. I hope that is a ride above the jungle, or similar. I love the boy, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
