Signboard price was probably 'with appropriate discount'.
    Seen that one before.

There was a discount price but I didn't have that, so I expected to pay the next price shown, not 4 cents more than that.

I pulled up for fuel at this servo that was advertising "Diesoleum" for 9 cents a Gallon, but couldn't get any as apparently the driveway attendant had passed away.... 43 years ago! Had a Shop-a-Docket ready to go for my 4 cents off, too!

Next time I'm passing through, I'll phone ahead to check their opening hours. Phone number is on the wall out front; "Phone: 88".

    How much was unleaded?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Wassat, son? You want some of that new-fangled Regular without Tetra Ethyl Lead additive? Lemme see, we should have some 4 gallon cans out the back.

I don't think you'd have the Seniority to be appointed to the position of "Welding, Greasing, Battery Charging General".

Fuel bowsers should be calibrated every 12months. But it's up to the operator to call in the guys to do it.

Another common one is why 23litres goes into a 20 can.

The biggest rip off here is when 2 servos at One Mile and West Ipswich sell unleaded for $1.42 and the 2 at North Ipswich are selling at $1.62 per litre.

You should be checking its calibration over 10 litres not one so at 10 litres is ten times the cost per litre
