I highly suspect Sydney. Near everything small comes from Sydney via Qantas Air Freight and then it's distributed to the other couriers like Auspost, Star Track Express, TNT, etc.

    Happy Days.

They just arrived [1230] delivered by toll.No other markings to tell where they went from singapore.Perhaps we can blame ozpost for some of the overseas buying if they can get their act together it would encourage aust buying.

    I may have been wrong.

Greg Mac tells me the parcels left Esk on 1st May.

    Guess what!

An Auspost truck travelling between Brisbane and Sydney caught fire at Grafton on the morning of 2nd May and the entire contents of the truck were destroyed.

I don't think my parcel was insured. $385 + $75 postage up in flames?

Maybe this will end up in the "my ability to buy faulty goods" thread.

I've seen the goings on at an AP depot where the contractors sort and load their parcels and the ability of some of those blokes to land an object into a basket from a distance would make Michael Jordan look like an amateur . And then there were the parcels that missed .

Don't forget the ones that get moved along the floor of the depot courtesy of someone’s foot..........soccer skills come to mind...............

I ordered something from Melbourne yesterday. Tracking shows it was posted yesterday afternoon.

I received it this morning. I didn't sign for it, the barcode wasn't scanned at my LPO.

Tracking still shows it in transit at Melbourne.

So I'm not sure how tracking works.

    Hi Ron,
You should ring the mob in Melbourne and tell them you have received it.

I've been expecting a delivery via Allied Express today. I received an SMS to tell me to be home between 2pm-7pm.

    So I was.

    The parcel hasn't arrived.

Their tracking system states: "Freight is currently on board with a driver - scheduled delivery by COB today"

Maybe COB is very late tonight.

    Very likely, Ian.

When I try to lodge an enquiry, their system says the package ETA is 19/6/14

But tomorrow I won't be home and the package has to be signed for. I have a dentist appointment in the morning and then another appointment elsewhere in the arvo. I guess Elisabeth won't be going out tomorrow.
