Was anyone really surprised Jimmy Savile wasn't exactly an upstanding chap, he looks like Gollum after a week in Vegas.

Savile did do a lot for charity and who knows how much he raised, he died last year, only since have these alegations come about, why?. why not when they happened or close too? personally i think 'some' are cashing in on his estate, but yes he is being investigated for these crimes. Nothing has been closed out in the courts afaik.
Rolf has been questioned on a separate matter, yes connected to the Saville case but not directly which suggests maybe not phedophila crimes.

Maybe wait for the facts before picking up the pitch fork and burning lantern!.

I'm not claiming Rolf Harris is guilty of anything, just pointing out the pointless song and dance about it by the media.
Jimmy Savile died in 2011, and yes the majority of these allegations came forward after his death, and I'd be surprised if some of them weren't just looking for a pay out.
However he'd been cautioned and investigated for sexual related offences before he died.
Add to that his family and people in positions of power that should/ could have known about his alleged (key word) activities have come forth and apologised.
Apologies imply a level of guilt, or at least acceptance of wrong-doing. If they felt he was innocent why would they apologise?
I'm quite content to let other people grab the lanterns and pitchforks, but I base my opinions on what I consider to be the most factual information available, and in this case I'll be very surprised if he comes out squeaky clean.
His charitable work topped an estimated £40 million.
Even if only half the allegations against him a true then that's still despicable and quite appalling, and whatever charity work he was involved in is kind of tainted IMHO.
Then again I could be completely wrong, and he's innocent in all matters.
If so then I owe Sir Jimmy an apology and will light an expensive cuban cigar in his honour.

I hope he dies in jail. But more disturbing is all these people now saying it was well known. Would they feel the same if it was them. I hope people will in the future speak out. It is so hard for the victims to do it. They need support at the time. The average time for a victim to come forward and tell someone is 22 years. But there are people who know it is happening and do not protect them You are part of the problem Jail them as well.

What was more disturbing was the other complaints against him the jury wernt alowed to be privy to,now made public after been found guilty.
He had also messed with mentaly disabled women and children.

Mate of mine, daughter was subject to something similar,25yrs ago,family friend at the time,the police set a trap,had all the evidence.

The perpetrator was found hanging in a park the next day.....

Who the hell was this bastard? This is just beyond belief! As a kid I thought he was great, now I hope he suffers the worst suffering there is.
