When you said that you were looking after dogs, I took that as meaning, you know, 'Dogs'!

Borrowed, or perhaps inherited, these three...... sigh.

Cummins has always been my engine of choice, but I've never had a Cat that disappointed me.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
In the generator world both Cat and Cummins are the leaders by a long way as far as quality and reliability goes, but our fleet of Cat gens use a crap load more fuel per KWh than a Cummins of the same size and they all leak oil around the heads and so does every other one I've worked on but as a Land Rover owner I can forgive them that.
In the trucking world our Scanias are sooooo smooth, quiet and powerful and our new driver came over to us because of our fleet and one truck in particular after driving lower quality rides for some time (mainly twin steer Isuzu's which won't pull the skin off a rice pudding)

Did it just have the standard 970 litre tank? Our R540 has the 1700 litre tank setup but I can't comment on the comfort of the bunk - it is completely unused in ours as we only do local work with it. The 2 separate fridge drawers are nice though. Given we only run a single trailer and that mostly has less than 10 tonnes on it the drivers don't complain about the power either. I've only driven it on the road bobtail which doesn't really count but it is smoother and quieter than my Hilux. I did ask the Boss if I could use it as my commuter but I got a death stare...
