    All Blacks Braced For Backlash.

Far from hunting wounded prey, the All Blacks expect the embattled Wallabies to be a dangerous beast on Saturday night and play out of their skins at Suncorp Stadium. New Zealand coach Steve Hansen and his backline general Conrad Smith both predicted a major backlash from their Bledisloe rivals despite the Kurtley Beale scandal, internal ructions and constant coaching speculation that has ravaged the code this past fortnight. But Hansen did warn that his world champions, smarting from their first loss in 23 tests, were primed to make Australia suffer even more if they weren't rock solid as a unit.

Better, much better, still too many silly errors. They are where they should be, this far out from the World Cup. Genia had a real good game in the NRC.

The Wallabies can go to Europe, happy with this effort. They have to keep that intensity up. Hopefully, the white ants will leave them alone, now. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Gee,that was lucky The Wallabies were the far better team by a long way tonight,In every department of the game.I am disgusted at the way the All Blacks played, just not good enough. But i am very happy they won. The Wallabies can go to Europe with some real confidence. I just hope the All Blacks improve from that sloppy display,But we also showed how to play for the full 80 minutes. But what a game of Rugby boys!!!!

McKenzie gone. I hear Pulver say that he left because amongst other things, he had lost the respect of the players after all the crap in the media. I wonder if that was the case, or he lost the players due to his behaviour, and the media pounced on it.

I'd read that he felt he didn't have the right amount of respect from the playing group with no reason given fro his comments, but Pulver putting it on the media. Not good for Australian rugby at all. I didnt get to see the game, not aired where I'm staying, but was watching the commentary and it looked like an exciting game, seems they ran out of legs in the last 10 again as they did against SA.

I cant see them performing well at the world cup after this fiasco.

Yep, but I don't think it was that the All Blacks were lucky, I think it was the Wallabies were unlucky. While the ABs made a heap of errors, many were forced by a full on attacking defence and rampant attack, and yet, the ABs played with 14 for 10 and managed to keep themselves in it. Stayed at it. If they were lucky then they made that luck.

They showed up Fekitoa at 12 a bit. He made up for it in the end. I got very annoyed at Aaron Smith pointing and and waving his arms at the ref at the ruck when he saw something and not actually getting in there and doing his job. He too redeemed himself a bit.

Well done Wallabies though. Sat a few Aussie media on their collective asses no doubt. If I had to categorise memorable rugby games, there are two types of games. "Edge of the seat" games and "arm rest thumping and hooting" games. This was the former... Very much edge of the seat stuff! The game meant polar opposites to each team. Exactly what the ABs needed, a scary one after a loss, but absolutely gutting for the guys in gold.

First time since 2008 the ABs have won there. If they had lost to the Wallabies, it would have been the first time since 2011 they had lost two consecutive games.

    Bring on USA and Europe.

Will be very interesting to see who gets the nod for Aussie coach. I hope it isn't a bit of a hospital pass really...

Mckenzie handed in his resignation letter at 10am on Saturday morning so it seems he was leaving regardless of the outcome of the game. Did he jump,Or was he pushed? To be honest with you guys i am not totally surprised by this move. At least he did it on his terms. Now the NSWRU can have the bloke they wanted in the job. Pulver could have done a lot more in this train wreck.

So much all of this. Pulver's comments show he has absolutely no clue. He blames the resignation on the media, implying that they caused Link to lose the team, but we know they were splitting months ago after Dublin.

He seems intent on trying to ignore all that is rotten within the ARU and Wallabies in favour of finding an external scapegoat.

God help the new coach, but I can't help wondering if his first move should be to dump Hooper as captain. I don't see how you can walk into a setup with a captain who has just been instrumental in getting rid of your predecessor.
