God help the new coach, but I can't help wondering if his first move should be to dump Hooper as captain. I don't see how you can walk into a setup with a captain who has just been instrumental in getting rid of your predecessor.
Good call, I think Hooper has no idea how on what the word 'skipper' means. He should have never being captain in the first place. During this whole Beale saga he has always shown Beale has all of his support. I get the impression many in the ARU and the NSW based players never wanted McKenzie in the first place. The two logical candidates would be Jake White or Cheika. Has Robbie deans left a sour taste in the mouth in terms of a overseas coach? But in reality he is a first class operator. Cheika coming from the Waratahs set-up will have overwhelming support from the boardroom all the way down to the NSW based players in the team. Many in the whole NSWRU set up will see it as the 'right' man will get the job. Like the NRL the ARU is so Sydney-centric it is a bloody joke. Well,Hooper,Beale and the rest of your Waratahs mates who helped push McKenzie out the door, you would want to bloody well hope you come up with some outstanding results to justify your actions. The proud Wallaby legacy left by Stirling Mortlock and Wallabies from that generation is in tatters at the moment. I just want to say i am a very proud Kiwi and All Black supporter,But i think it is very important for rugby to have a strong Wallaby team, and watching the developments over the last few months i wonder where Australian rugby is heading?.

Good words, there should be a major cleanout of the ARU upper management, Pulver should go, Jake White should coach. If Cheika became coach, parents up here would take their children out of rugby, into league. May not make a difference just now, but many future good players would be lost. Bennett has come back to Brisbane at the right time, to influence people in that regard. Stand by for major desertions to rugby league. Bob

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
