does that apply to other road rules too?

Should he have waited in the queue? Yes!
This is one cyclist you're talking about.
I have a pic on my phone of a Camry who was 'lane splitting' and therefore holding up both lanes of traffic by slamming on the brakes whenever cars in either lane stopped. Made for a stressful drive but again this was one driver.
I guess if there were a thread called ****ing Camry's and I wrote about all my observations and experiences with Camry drivers I and those participating in the thread my feel less tolerant towards them as well...
On my ride home last night I encountered a guy on a motor cycle coming the other way doing about 40kmh. Maybe I should view all motorcyclists as morons and various other derogatory names. I was on a cycle path riding next to a highway.;)
However, my view is he is a moron rather than tarring all motorcyclists the same way.
Once again we seem to be back to being very close to racism, sexism etc where we discriminate against someone on the basis of an easily identifiable characteristic. In this case the humble bicycle.
Fully agree:)
OR - rode up the left of all lanes of traffic, got on the island, waited for the pedestrian crossing green man, walked or rode along the pedestrian crossing (I read that cyclists can ride along pedestrian crossings somewhere). Then do the same to get across other road. Then enter the traffic safely to be on his planned path.
With some traffic light cycles and blocked intersections, this may be quicker (definitely safer) than mixing it with stop start traffic.
