No I am definitely not that hairy, at 54 years of age. And Mr. "Map-of-Tasmania" remains, as before, a troll.

They can make all the laws they like.... If I come over a slight crest or around a corner in 100km/h zone .... and find lycra clad window lickers lane sharing. Nothing on this planet will save them if there is an on-coming vehicle.

Last time this happened my wife and kids were in the car, out near snake valley. I figure if they want to commit suicide that's upto them. If I'd been in the Rangie instead of my old Citroen I'd probably have ploughed straight through them rather than risked my families life by veering hard at speed. I know the old Citroen CX though and she kept it all together as I hauled on the steering wheel and basically flicked the car into the oncoming traffic side of the road in the blink of an eye.

My wife got really upset with me ..... No, not because we nearly hit the window lickers ...... But because I was going back to give the morons a piece of my mind, but she wouldn't let me.

I wonder if they even realise or care that they were 0.05 seconds from instant death. I have twice over the last 2years stuck these lycra morons lane sharing on back roads with dips, crest and corners doing maybe 15km/h in a 100 zone. You see they HAVE THE RIGHT TO LANE SHARE. HOW DARE I TELL THEM THEY ARE BRAIN DEAD MORONS THAT WILL DIE. They should be riding buses licking the windows as the scenery scrolls by for them.

Has anyone else noticed you NEVER have problem with bike riders unless there lycra clad morons ? I figure lycra must make them invincible.... Maybe the sharp pointed seats on there expensive brand name bikes hurts there brains when they sit on them ?

I figure you will find the same morons swimming at boat ramps complaining about all the assholes with boats ....

    seeya,
    Shane L.
PS: Queue all the lycra clad window lickers screaming "You should travel at a speed you can stop from" .... Yes EVERY car should be doing < 15km/h in all the 100km/h zones all over the country.
PPS: Now queue them saying "what if it was a cow" .... Well you see, Even wildlife isn't so stupid as to walk down the length of a lane .. using the entire lane in a 100km/h zone. Sure they may cross to get to the other side ... but NEVER use the entire lane for miles on end @ 15km/h.

Now what happens if you come over that hill and see a backpacker van stopped in the middle of the road because they got out to take photos you going to drive straight into them because you're a moron or are you going to use what little brain power you have to save your and your families lives and apply the brakes.

    Ok ... I'll hit the brakes ... .0.05seconds later, I hit ................... Helped a lot right ??

The very last thing I'd ever do at speed is try to brake to avoid an accident. The steering wheel is there ... Use it !!!! Don't risk your families lives for window lickers though, no matter how much your brain screams "swerve".

no-one I repeat, no-one would park on the road just over a slight crest. Everything except bicyles would be visible either way (eg: farming implements, tractors etc).

If only they had enough common sense to ride single file.... But no, they use the entire lane in a 100km/h zone.

PS: So what colour is the lycra you wear ? Can you try to colour match the bullbar of my old Rangie if your going to lane share out on back roads .... that way it won't look to ridiculous with flaps of it flapping off the bullbar.

I have actually encountered that exact situation on holiday so it can and has happened and if it were just over a crest then you should have seen them as you were going up hill. Your post makes you look like a bad driver which ever way you look at it.

My wife usually agrees with you ..... Not in this case though. She was in the car. But yes, because there brain dead morons that should be licking windows on a bus I'm a bad driver I've been driving cars since I was 12years old. Wanna guess how many accidents I've had ?

    seeya,
    Shane L.
PS: Can you make your lycra a light blue colour so it blends in please ? Notice it is ALWAYS the car driver that is at fault not matter how braindead and stupid the window lickers are
PPS: Do you understand how long it takes a car travelling at the speed limit to slow to 15km/h that window lickers are doing ? What if they are a grey nomad towing a caravan ..... That'll pull up really quickly.

If you read my posts on this thread you would realize I generally try and use the cycle paths instead of the roads because I account for the lowest common denominator. However when I'm on the road I have a fairly simple rule if you hit me you'd betting make sure I'm not getting up.
