Ancient Mariner, I strongly doubt many really cannot afford $11 a year. (92c a month).

I am equally sure in those very rare cases..... there are several of us that would happily assist to keep those users part of this community.

Why others choose not to stay is up to them....

I think we should be sad to see most of them go, but ultimately it will be a personal choice and it's not up to us to pigeon hole those that choose to leave.

Agreed. I am not jumping on a bashing wagon either.
LR types tend to be more principled than most, I would be the last to attack someone for standing on theirs.
I am looking forward to their return once they see the alternatives out there (4WDA, Expl Oz etc).
    Cheers, BDave.

Good point pat, thinking here about all the personal issues that people over the years have been helped with, and possibly even overcome, by this community. These are valuable peripheral advantages of a forum cummunity. Just chatting about our landys isn't the be all and end all of our lives!

I brought an Aussie produced magazine, BMC Experience, just before the break. Its a full colour glossy specialist mag. $10.50 and its a quarterly.
I bet most members here have brought a LR World mag or similar...

So the basic subscription fee is great value when compared to magazines.
OTOH, a ten dollar note got me a wink at a pole dancing place.
