Actually Deano, it looks more like a solid wharf to me possibly subject to a fair bit of swell surge, such as the pier at Coffs Harbour.
Righto Bushie, I'll have a play, I've got no idea where this is as we tend to avoid populated areas and the NSW east coast north of Botany Bay (with all respect to those who live/play etc there), like the plague
.
Is this on the coast or just a tease ?, it looks like a floating pontoon bridge/roadway etc moored to wooden 'bollards' but the allowable rise/fall of the mooring is very small so I'd suggest not coastal, but hey! it's all in fun. I reckon the telecom tower should be a good clue.

Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
Ok its a solid wharf (except it no longer used as wharf, at this location) to the right of the pylons heads to the open sea.

Yay, marvelous guess that! From a google search all the way up the NSW coastline, Newcastle Harbour was about the only place I could find with a land backed wharf on flat water with hills in the background...
Anyway, this one will be way too easy for you well traveled ones... You will need both Road & River Names to get the prize.
Cheers,
Chris
Good grief. We were berthed alongside that wharf once.I'm an eejit.

How about Gregory River crossing near the Riversleigh Fossil site on the road to Lawn Hill NP.

Gibb River Road? I recall having seen a similar picture before which was of a crossing on the Gibb River road. I've never been to WA. I'm sure someone knows the name of the creek if it is that.
