Thread: Is it me or are others the same sad cases

I think nearly every one has feelings like this. I know that i still regret seeling my 1960 IIA shorty with PTO drive.
That vehicle saved my life, if i was in a car i'd be pushing up daisies!

After the accident, I stripped it down and rebuilt it. Strangely I bought some new springs for it and the turned out to be off the 109 but sold as off a shorty" so I had a lift 8) They fitted to my suprise.

When he left I asked him, What are you going to do with it.


"Oh he said I'm going to wreck it "

And I spent many hours getting the thing back to new :roll:

Was the IRD new or second hand from a post 2000 model? How much did it cost you? I am weighing up buying a pre 2000 and budgeting to get that done straight away.

I am the same, I sold my commodore to my brother, i looked after that car like it was my only child. Every time i see him i drill him about whether or not he is looking after it. I was even sad when he drove off, even though i was going to see it again. Matt

In answer to your question Matt, my wife lets me do just about anything I want which is cool compared to the overbearing whiphand my first wife was, she was so cold when she opened her legs a light came on, not to go off on a tangent. When she let me buy the Disco TDi which was purely a economy based move I knew that sitting in the lounge room for 2 months is her new $5000 stove set up waiting for a kitchen renovation. Now being a builder I have sold the rangie to fund her kitchen Renovation as a fair husband would.
