    Don't you hate it when you try your hand at a new dish. Spent $60 on ingredients to make a Pad Thai that I could have bought for $18 at the local Thai takeaway and it would have tasted better. Oh well. I have all those sauces for next time.

    Stick at it - you have the ingredients now, you just need to practice. . Home made Thai is well worth a skill to be learnt and practiced often. My family loves it when I lash out and do one.
