That's actually brilliant. I sincerely hope that our current youth helps it last.

I don't hang around on too many other forums, but on one I sort of hang around I posted in a thread - that was already waaay off topic and pulled a 'Ron' on them by correcting someone who said he could play 5 cords on his guitar - I chimed in and said that would be difficult and maybe he could play 5 chords on it.

Well, that went down like a lead balloon - and the entire thread was deleted - all 5 pages including the relevant information the OP was after. When I PM'ed the Admin team asking where it had gone, I was told in no uncertain terms that it was deleted because it was off topic and my post was the final straw...

I've never come across anything like this, but as I said, I don't get out much...

So, is this just a pack of humourless people or is this quite common out there in forum land?

Oh - feel free to take this off topic if you wish - I won't get upset...

A bit late I realise, but since being able to get online since 2000 I have always been aware that online courtesy was paramount & that criticising another person's spelling & grammar was considered a no no & was rude & discourteous. So is typing in Capitals.
I endeavor to stick with that on all boards I visit, so maybe that played a part in that board's decision?

    FWIW.

Yes, back on topic! We can't have that. 😊

It was a long time ago because I can't even remember now which site that was. 😇 I have been kicked off 3 forums that I know of, but thankfully my sense of humour and mischief doesn't get me into too much trouble here. 😉

Now we need to get this back off topic...
