How bad are these wheels?

Probably take the wheel out too. Walnut shell used very carefully might be ok but I'd have to remove and strip the wheel. The upside to that being, it should be easier to polish.Would sandblasting/beadblasting work?

Seriously, not on the wheel. I'm waiting for someone to tell me what magic degreaser his son uses at work. The contaminants appear to be brake dust, fork oil and road grime. Will cold tea do any good on them?

Still requires a little bit of brushing but works well...
Use it on my ride. Pitting on the other hand is a challenge...
