Household batteries have the ability to chop the head off the "duck curve" if configured correctly. And to protect their income, energy companies themselves are moving into large scale solar (hundreds of MW) and storage projects. The old adage "if you can't beat them, join them" comes to mind.
the grid hasnt collapsed but it is saturated from a high voltage during the day and lowish voltage at night perspective.
upper limit is meant to be 230 + 10% (253v) but ive seen 268v during the day.
