    The Hume highway.

    The best sights of Melbourne.
The city lights, in you rear view mirror.

For those that don't know me well, I was born and raised in Melb. We made a tree change in 2000( aged 45) and purchased a caravan park in Tatura.

We sold it back in January so had nowhere to live. As we also sold our jobs we had no ties here.
We could have moved anywhere we liked to start our new life.

We looked around and agonised about where to live. We ended up staying and purchased a place in Tatura.

One hour from the Murray river in an area that the river is renowned for its lovely sandy beaches.
One and a half hours from the norther suburbs of Melb.

Tatura for me is a great place to live.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I moved for work from Canning Vale WA to Victoria, settled in Mount Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula. Beautiful views of the bay from the top of the hill here, peace and quiet can go anywhere easily. So many Land Rovers of many model down here.

We've made our forever home here, the wife and two boys and I. Best decision ever.

The Agoraphobics would have you believe that Sydney is over crowded, full of mad people,( I haven't seen any mad people.) and pot holes full of refos.
The fishing is so good you could throw in an old sock and catch whatever you want.
There are 47 Ks of Coast line with 20 beaches. Not counting the inlets. or the Shire which is a secret Alien hatchery.
There are 3 huge inlets, 4 if you count the Shire, which is a secret Alien hatchery, and they're all brimming with fish.
There are so many fine eateries you would never be able to sample them all.
In the tiny suburb where I was borne there are 26 pubs. I couldn't tell you how many there are in the whole City.
Great coffee is everywhere you look.
The climate is modelled on the climate in Heaven.
AND the best part is I live there.
    Cheers, Billy.

Yes, well, if I lived on a farm that grows Land Rovers and Landrovers and bits of Landrovers and Land Rovers, I'd probably be happy too.

There must be something good about where we live up here in North Western Victoria on the mighty Murray as the holidaymakers/tourists have been pouring into the district for days, and it will basically be like that right through until Easter. Currently we are into a scorcher of a heatwave where if you put a spanner down in the open for five minutes you can't pick it up until the sun has gone down. However these extreme temperatures just seem to make the place even more appealing to the tourists.
Maybe we just take it all for granted.
Good fishing for Murray Cod, Paddle boat river cruises, great eat em up places, fine wines, a fantastic array of motorsports, and so it goes.

    Cheers, Mick.

we are currently in the process of packing our house in south gippsland victoria to move to the mid north nsw coast! So sick of cold (-2?) mornings in winter and the rain etc...and our kids stuck in the house due to it.
We looked at tassie, and as much as we love the place, the climate is no different to where we are now.
Time for us to defrost! (Mind you it is 37? here today&#128522
