Funnily enough I watched that video last night. Back in the late 70s I rebuilt a P6 series1. The motor was a work of art but it took me ages to sort out the cam follower shims/spacers. I wore out my brain and my micrometer. all in all though, it was a lovely car. but over heated ba bit quite often.
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.

Neighbour had a TC which he loved. When the V8 was released in the UK had to have one. So bought one in the UK from a dealer and had it shipped to Australia. With shipping and import duties as they were in the seventies that must have cost as much as the car but when has reason and logic applied to what can be an emotional decision. Anyone here ever bought a Land Rover will have some idea of what am taking about. All smiles for 3 months until he blew the engine. Not sure what happened brain cells are not recovering the information but I do remember it being off the road for many months and the owner being very upset about it
