They are what they are John and when you're on one it's as well too remember what they are and as much nautical terminology as possible.

I do not think I will need to do that - I cannot imagine the circumstances in which I would voluntarily be on board one!

That's fair enough. You could take the block of flats off, along with the RSL and you would be left with a ship you could put to greater use.

Amusingly the vessel I regularly mastered was replaced but retained and reregistered as a pleasure craft. With that administrative stroke of pen, I suddenly became unqualified to operate the said vessel.
