The Brisbane contingent, who traveled via: Hebel, Goodooga, Engonia, Yantabulla, Wanaaring, Tibooburra, Packsaddle, White Cliffs, often finding themselves facing the back side of ROAD CLOSED signs. At various stages everyone ended up facing the way they had come. They had to return on the bitumen, due to road closures.

Been following that. I had planned ( yeah, right) on going before life said NO. Bi-annual event, used to be held at Wompinini before it was sold or something.

I’d like to come up with another interesting venue that could attract and accommodate around 40 OkAs for 2027. Bloke who did a lot of the grunt work is over it apparently. But Silverton was a success by all accounts, even with the weather issues. It seemed to be central enough to attract the sandgroper contingent, which is an issue with OKAs as there aren’t many of them and quite a few are in WA. Trying to keep it national is a big ask in Oz.

And yet there are probably more of them on this side. I don’t know that definitively but I can find out. But SA or close is the logical choice for national meetups.
There’s a property in the Flinders Ranges that allows 4WD access. Does anyone know of it and what it’s called?

Warraweena Station, via Beltana. Brilliant place to camp and explore. When you are allocated a site, the entire site is for you or your party. Contact the manager Ian Roberts on 0457 165 504. It's a Wetlands and Wildlife property. Warraweena - Wetlands and Wildlife There's a problem with the website as it looks like it's been spammed. I'll get on to them about that.

That's the one. Thanks for that. Site definitely isn't rendering properly.

Actually, this might be the one as well.... I think this is the one I was thinking of, but there are two really good selections.
