The best (sounding) has to be a V8 Mack but right up there are 903, 3408 any of the 8V Detroits and 6V71.

The semi that delivered my shed had a crane that could reach to the back of the trailer, controlled by a remote that looked like what you'd use to fly a drone.

It flexed a bit at full stretch, but was most impressive.

Brand began with 'F', sounded like the name of an Italian soccer player.

    cheers, DL

Rather than dilute GG's Shed thread further, maybe we should direct our rabbiting here.

Can ya Scania do this, John?

    Already done! 😊

So, back to things of importance here... 1, How fast DID the Grey Ghost go with its wheels in the air, and 2, What stupid things DID happen that day......? 😂

Yeah the crane was a big help. The whole job is a bit mates rates. It was fabricated by a relly for cost and the crane truck was borrowed.
Worst job was using the auger to dig the holes, which the engineer insisted had to be 800 deep x 450, which is overkill.
The crane was great. We lifted the heavy lengths into place, bolted the sides together and used the crane to stand each side up and drop the feet in the holes.
Then we lifted the cross beams into place and used the crane to hold it all up while we bolted it together like a big Meccano set. Finally we had to lift each side and brace it into place with the feet elevated.
    Concrete comes Tuesday.
