Thats the first pic i have seen Welshman and i must say i agree with the others it looks bloody good. I dont know what it is but all the landy products look great with 18in or 19in alloys. You did well, get the engine problem sorted, which is just one of those things, and you will be very happy with your purchase, the Disco really is a top vehicle.

To save your expensive tyres get yourself a cheap set of steel rims and get some off road tyres, its a pain swapping and changing rims everytime you want to go off road but you dont need to be scared of shredding $360 on rocks etc when you are off road. Matt

I havent heard of the head problems, maybe some of the others have. Is the mechanic a Land Rover specialist or a general mechanic?

You will get alot out of the training course. I have been trying to get to one of the NSW LROC training courses but every time Marcos is sick or we havent got any spare cash. I hope to get to one this year. I managed to get to one day of the advanced one, i didnt learn much in terms of driving techniques as the tracks we go on on the BBQ weekends are much harder, but i leanrt alot about recovery techniques. R U with HBF I think I would cry, to see my girl on her side. Will do my course first then go on one of your trips. Is the trips for Landys only ??

The mechanic I am with is Wilf & Chambers in Osbornepark he came recomended on this site has been great. His work shop had 3 cars on the hoist all that were worth more than my house, jags and landrovers. Said that he would resit the valves, and machine the heads down. Hope to get her back on Wednesday. Overheard him talking to another customer about a new core for a radiator $600 then a new head gaskit and machined head so things could be worse for me.
Mechanics must take courses in breaking bad news like doctors not
:!: "Your head gasket is gone !" me waiting for price.

    Hi Welshman
When we go out,its usually a mix of WA members of AULRO and the "Black Stump" http//www.bslras.com/
We are a top bunch of LANDYLOVERS,and yes other breeds do come along,we have had our Mitsi Trytoo,Landcruisers,Honda CRV's,Hilux,Navara, all are basically welcome,Im sure you would enjoy yourself.
AND if its too tough in your mind there is no pressure for you to try, there is always an easier way around.

    Hello,

I'd be interested in the next WA outing. It all depends on where and when. Do you post it here when there is to be a run :?: ??
