Anthabasca glacier. Part of one of the largest glaciers in Northern America. What an experience. The buses that take you onto the glacier are beasts. They were specially designed for the tour company. Top speed of 18km/h. Able to ascend/descend 36 degrees. Part of the approach was a long hill of 32 degrees. That is steep. The glacier was wonderful. I now am a water snob and don't want to drink any water that's not straight off a glacier. Being mid summer there is a lot of run off. It tastes beautiful. I filled my camelback and fortunately as the valve appears a nit manky I haven't had to share any of it.
The wind was howling, but apparently it was only two degrees. I was in shorts and won't pretend I was warm, but after 40 of walking around it was only my fingers that were really cold. I had put them in the water a fair bit.
