Bring back the Cadbury Whip ... doubt it would be considered an Aussie icon, but 1000 times better than a Mars Bar.

I wonder how many people in other locales and countries miss the products they once cherished, in the name of globalisation and efficiency ?

Not me, Pete. I remember driving from Kilcoy to Caboolture (probably), and seeing a sign "Pines 10 for $1" I had no idea. So, hey, it's a dollar, let's check it out. Bear in mind I'm a Victorian, just starting on my five odd years up there. These "pines" were about the size of a grapefruit. I had no idea that pineappples could be so sweet. It's you banana benders who turn everyone else off pines. You send the sour, football sized ones to everyone else, and keep the good ones for yourselves. Still, karma gets you back. You all think you have the best fruit, but one visit to one of the temples in Thailand, to a Monk, will convince you that you have been ripped off in the mango and papaya ( pawpaw for the uninitiated ) stakes. I had pawpaw, Bowen mango, and banana growing at Somerset Dam. I also had persimmon ( yuck. How do you eat those? Same thing with custard apples. I'd prefer to eat turpentine mangos ) and locquats. Never saw one of those, as the currawongs got the lot.

You do do good prawns though.

Didn't exist when I was born, doesn't exist now. I have seen it out, along with it's silly ad.

Best to let it go quietly.......

Mars Bars however, right with you there.

Sorry, I just watched that.... Ye God, did people really think that way?

Come to think of it, of course they did. Ads today are in fact probably worse.
