As for the source of that power, SA is already up to 50% renewables and aiming for 75% and other states will follow. Coal stations are wearing out and closing.

That will never happen,every vehicle brand will have a different type.Then there will be new models,and old models,upgraded models.

And it goes on and on,nothing is that simple anymore.

Thought I had seen a video of a Tesla battery swap. Sure it can be done.

Given time all brands will homogenise into one. Look at the number of shared platforms engines transmissions now. Cost will dictate that all will have the same batteries.

If that was the case why are there so many different batteries for cameras, phones and power tools?

Why not tow a small, lightweight bespoke alloy trailer, with a GENSET built into it. - You won't use ALL the power / all the time so you may as well add a small (?) fridge, and a decent size coffee machine as well... - Ever tasted some of those 'FREE coffee for the Driver' ? offerings.

Look at all the battery tools with their different batteries and chargers. Don't hold your breath re: uniformity.

Beta was a far more advanced video format than VHS, but VHS won in the end.

because it was cheaper and had a longer playing time.
as well as many manufactures which push the price down again

Picture quality was better AFAIR with beta.
