Last night a man was charged with intimidation after he allegedly confronted two volunteers with the NSW Rural Fire Service.Officers in the Manning Great Lakes area of northern NSW were told a man had approached the two volunteers and allegedly threatened them with physical harm and harm to their property.
The two volunteers were forced to stop actual fire-fighting duties to address the alleged threats against them.
A 44-year-old man from Elands was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of intimidation and possession of a knife in a public place.
He was refused bail to appear at Forster Local Court today.
