Ten awards of $100k to the top ten renewable energy concepts for the year, with $5m to the overall winner to begin development.

Or... Six awards of $1m to top six, with further gov commitment to seed fund the development of six major renewable energy projects per year.

Replace fireworks with a candle light picnic around the harbour creating jobs for sustainable food vendors and acoustic music funded by audience donations.

And watch attendance to this new event be less than 25% of the fireworks.

Punters want “big” that’s the long and short of it.

    $1m won’t even get a project into Pre-Fe. Phase.

If you read the article and follow the links it leads to Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds | NASA where suprisingly NASA does not admit that the current climate change is caused by the solar orbit.
I don't know who NaturalNews is but their journalism sucks.

You might be surprised. I think there are more people who would prefer a quiet candle lit evening on the harbour, especially when they know it’s for alternate energy development.

Significantly more people attend arts events than sporting events every year in Australia. The big brash spectacle is not all people want.

Exactly. It’s a con. ...Natural News? What does that mean anyway?

Coal is natural. It doesn’t mean burning it is good for the planet.

Not burning it is bad for the planet. Can you survive without electricity?

Incoming heat waves and Nov Records smashed in W.A.

    SA pre-emtive fire bans

From mid-week into the weekend, a large part of inland New South Wales and Southern Queensland will be in the grip of a low-to-severe intensity heatwave, elevating the fire danger in areas that have already been affected by bushfires.

The NSW Rural Fire Service has confirmed 476 homes have been destroyed in NSW since the start of the bushfire season and more than 1.6 million hectares have been burnt.

Well I’m about to instal solar and battery, so yes I’d say I can survive without burning coal. In fact I’ll sell you some of my excess power if you like, or you could connect solar too and we can share.

The EV will be next, once there’s an affordable hybrid or long range EV option, or a quality conversion option for the Defender.

The planet doesn’t = human convenience.

If we don’t stop burning coal the planet will stop supporting human life. The planet will do what’s good for the planet. The warning signs are as plain as day. We continue to ignore them at our peril.

The planet will continue on as it always has regardless of climate extremes.
