    Just read this report:

Rooftop solar hits 45% of demand and sets new grid low in W.A. | RenewEconomy

According to the report, at rooftop solar in WA is producing around 45% of the current demand during the middle of the day

i dont know much about WA power, but 45% is a great achievement.

Australians throw out 3.5 million tonnes of plastic each year

The company says a commercial facility could process around 20,000 tonnes of plastic a year.

    thats about half a percent.
Sounds like a massive new industry and employment growth possibility to me.

    It’s exponential now.

In another 15 years domestic solar will most likely be closer to 100%.
All new vehicles sold will be EV or hybrid.

It’s very clear that the issue of climate change is global and that something major happening on one side of the planet can hugely affect countries on the other side. Which is why it’s got nothing to do with ‘only in my backyard’. The whole planet is an ecosystem.

Wealthy countries assisting poor countries as well as cleaning up they’re own backyard will be good for the whole planet. Solar power to the people: how the sun can ease Africa's electricity crisis | Business | The Guardian

Andrew Forrest is thinking of ways to reduce the plastic waste problem, weather the idea can work who knows. But in the real world I think it has some merit as the only way mass uptake of recycling products is going to work is if its financially viable, which will then create a demand for the products to be recycled.

Code Red Vic - Mallee and Northern Country regions.

Code Red represents a threat worse than "extreme" and is the highest possible rating on the state's fire danger scale. It is the equivalent to the "catastrophic" fire rating in other states.
There is also a total statewide fire ban on Thursday, to prevent fires spreading to those high risk Code Red districts.

Take care all. See the powers turned off in some parts of SA due to fire risk. Ouch
