I prefer to listen to the scientists on climate change. I know you can argue back and forth until the cows come home, but this is not a penis length competition. On the balance of things, the scales tip to climate change, and to ignore that is to acquiesce to the braying mob . I'll stand up and be counted , if we follow the mob, we go over the cliff. One thing though. If any one is going to argue a point, and everyone can, do it in a civilised manner. Otherwise you just become the lowest common denominator, and we all know what that is.

Mob Mentality
Other factors come into play when the term "mob mentality" is used to refer to something negative. Two of the main factors are the greater anonymity that exists within a group and the distribution of responsibility for the group's actions. These factors sometimes make a person believe that they can act a certain way within a group and not have the same consequences that the same actions would have if he or she acted alone.
