So here's irrefutable proof from the best science available that the oceans are absorbing the heat from the atmosphere caused by rising emissions. I mean, I really don't see how anyone who supports science can deny this.

So our sun has no input into the oceans temperature. Its 100% emissions.

What continues to be an amusing frustration is those going on and on about it being a huge issue - don’t offer any suggestions on what to do, how to go about it..

Or even acknowledged that the same bunch of scientists have stated that it’s too late to do anything and change the outcome.

If that’s the case - if they SAME scientists state it’s too late... why are we even having this discussion? Shouldn’t the correct discussion then be “How will we adapt to changing climate?”

The change in climate is inevitable and isn’t going to change.

If we do everything, and I mean everything... we can NOT prevent the cycle.

We also will almost double emissions by 2050 if populations continue and lifespans increase.

The Romans etc were more emissions intensive than we currently are. So that’s style of living is not a solution.

So what do you propose globally- that will do any good??

I don't have an agenda. I'm just interested in the facts. That means I want good information.
I'm against the denialists who reject the science, particularly when their rejection is blatantly political and selfish, misleading people to keep themselves in power. An example would be the scare campaign which inflamed fears in coal-mining areas.
Coal will remain an important part of our energy mixture until mid century. It could be longer if we used our coal to manufacture steel and other products here from our mineral resources, rather than exporting it to be burned overseas. We could create a lot of jobs here.
Meanwhile I want government policies which encourage renewable investment here. That will reduce emissions and create many more jobs.
Really, Australia can have it all. We just have to reject the politically-based right-wing ideological propaganda and make smart decisions based on science.

One thing with Coal. There’s essentially 2 types.
Thermal and Coking coal.

Our coal mine contains both, they can’t be used easily for alternative purposes. We sell the thermal coal and make steel with the Coking coal. One offsets the cost of extracting the other.

It’s never as easy as the masses think, and this climate issue is the same. The basics regurgitated for the masses although what is never pushed out is the full details.



What it has done is create a massive, huge, mental illness and stress problem in the younger generations. Parallels to when the world was banging nukes all over the place and people thought TNW was inevitable.
