I wouldn’t either and I’m a Holden man, but after the VT I think they sort of lost their way.

The Astra, Commodore and Colorado are all good products.
I note Holden was profitable before the short sighted decision to withdraw industry support from the once-proud Australian vehicle manufacturing industry, going in the opposite direction to other countries which see benefits in continuing to manufacture complex products like vehicles.

The Acadia seems like a good thing from the reviews. I had a look at one today and it seemed pretty good. I'd still prefer a Mazda CX-9 though.

Not in anything that Holden has actually made no. Wouldn't mind one in the RRC.

    The new commodore is diabolical.

And remember - if you go down the dealers and buy one today - you'll get a 2017 build car as they still have 18 moths of surplus stock rotting away. Can you imaging the depreciation on that? Drive a car out of the showroom and 6 months later try and sell what is effectively a 2 year old car - kiss 50% of your investment goodbye.

Not sure who'd be dumb enough to buy one to be honest.

Coincidence that you mention LS1s and boats in the same sentence

you really need to vist this and hear some truths about Holden,,

    YouTube

madness to think we as a nation can support industries that run at multi million losses, year on year.

Anyone care to add up all the GOV handouts to car makers over the last ten years?
or the amount our Banks have stolen from us over the years?

and we're still worried about dole bludgers,,

Absolutely 100% correct, so until & when, & if, further developments occur, no-one really knows what the ramifications`of this will be for current Holden owners, of which I currently am one!?
    Pickles.
