And remember - if you go down the dealers and buy one today - you'll get a 2017 build car as they still have 18 moths of surplus stock rotting away. Can you imaging the depreciation on that? Drive a car out of the showroom and 6 months later try and sell what is effectively a 2 year old car - kiss 50% of your investment goodbye.

Not sure who'd be dumb enough to buy one to be honest.
    Interesting comments.

I just wondered why you thought the Commodore was diabolical.

    GM to sell Holden

Oh - because the 2 we had in the fleet on a trial were both returned after 3 months as they both spent more time back at Holden where they were trying to repair them. They both had multiple electrical issues the OEM seemed unable to rectify. Steer clear if you know what's good for you. The drivers of them also said they were pretty **** overall.

Gav, I've had a good look at the "new" Commodore, and I've driven the VXR AWD, although the best version is said to be the 2L turbo with, I think, a 9 speed auto.
I do not agree that the Commodore is "diabolical". It's no better or worse than many other cars on the market. The press have a lot to answer for in their criticism of this car. Yes, GM selling Opel to Peugot didn't help, but the car is not as bad as some make out. It's got a nice "Euro style" interior, but for sure, it ain't a VF, & it ain't the Commodore we're used to.
I couldn't find much wrong with the VXR I drove, plenty of performance, comfortable, but,.......not a VF!
    Martin.
