That would depend on the time of her visit. It does get a little lonely around here.. , Looking at the pic, maybe not THAT lonely....

A UK friend who visited used to have a repertoire about that & could go on for ages about a bloke who took a bird/sheila to some restaurant & go on & on about having a fork on the table.

No, not the Two Ronnies & Fork Handles.

    1. A lot of washing powders (and maybe liquids) contain a blue dye (remember the 'blue beads of bleach' ad?) which dyes whites slightly blue to make them look whiter as opposed to slightly yellowish.

    2. If you have no stomach hair you won't get belly button fluff. It migrates upwards as the loose strands of (blue dyed) cotton in your underwear. Needs stomach hair to get to get up to the recluse.

There were several Phd's gained out of this over the years.

If Lionel realised it was that easy he may have chosen that as a Subject. Or not, as the case may be.

Following on from the brief mention of washing powder a few posts ago..............

Has anyone wondered why boxes of the stuff are 'heavy'?

Does the heaviness mean real or perceived value for money?

40 years ago a good mate of mine was doing his PhD in organic chemistry and told me about an annual competition amongst the chemistry wizards who worked for the detergent companies, mostly in Melby.

The competition was to incorporate the maximum possible amount of water into the powder whilst keeping it as a stable powder.

Nothing much has changed since then.

    Biggest non refundable deposit ?

"The statement also said that, in line with the agreement signed by both firms in 2020, SoftBank would keep a $1.25bn non-refundable deposit paid by Nvidia." link

    Ouch plus but cool trivia

Is it possible this was so it would dissolve more quickly rather than to increase the mass per useful molecule?
