Sort of hope so as Landrover owners just took over one of the biggest Airline shockers for a while! "India's national carrier, Air India, has been officially handed over to the Tata Group, which bought the debt-ridden airline in October last year.

The Tatas paid nearly $2.4bn (£1.7bn) after the government made the terms of the debt less onerous for the buyer.

The salt-to-steel conglomerate founded the airline in 1932 before it was taken over by the government in 1953.

The handover brings to an end a years-long attempt to sell Air India, which has racked up losses worth $9.5bn.

We only flew with Air India once from Singers to London & back again but later.

They were sort of ok IMHO but it was only my 2nd trip OS so anything could have been ok. At the time 1977 they were on a par with Aeroflot I read. (Soz sash ) I recall they insisted PAX did not take photos of the airport area before Landing or post Takeoff. Apparently they weren't too keen on showing the rest of the world what crap conditions their people lived under then. I did notice that on both flights there were plenty of empty seats?????

The days when Airport Security Guards (Soldiers) were armed with SMLE .303s (ex WW2I suspect). & wore daggy old Sand shoes. Can you imagine those weapons being used in a crowded terminal & shoes, better than hobnailed I guess.

The B747 we flew out on crashed into the sea a little while later. A month or two, not while we were on it, cos that would be silly. Maybe the Curry Menu blew up on one of the Galley Stoves? I bet those on board said Tat- TAs

Unlike a Discovery, 747s tend to go for their rated cycle life if they are adequately maintained, not driven into terrain or subjected to an "unexpected rapid pressure event". At least a "fail to proceed" in a Disco isn't likely to wipe out a couple of hundred people.

Probably my all time favourite passenger aircraft and second on my all time list to the Spitfire (although I don't think I'd like to do the SYD-LAX leg in a Spitfire).

"Favourite" depends on a wide range of factors, and which aircraft is top of the list depends on what you are trying to do and where you are travelling - and whether you are looking at it as a passenger, an airline operator, or a pilot. (and probably a few other points of view I have not thought of, including that of technical interest!)

But certainly the 747 has to go down as one of history's most successful and widely used airliners and one that changed air travel, alongside the DC-3 and 707. And then there are the ones that marked major advances but did not, for various reasons, leave a major mark on history, such as the 1913 Bolshoi Baltisky (first four engined airliner, first enclosed cabin, toilet, electric lighting, etc).

Photo Shy? Tax wants your picture- US one :)

I blink for almost every photo Never worried about it myself but others get a bit grumpy. What IF I cannot log on ???

To manage registration for new online accounts, the IRS has contracted with ID.me, a third-party service with a thorough signup process that includes a uploading a "video selfie" through ID.me's facial recognition software.
While older IRS accounts still work, starting this summer everyone will need to complete ID.me verification to access the IRS online services, including viewing and making payments online, updating a mailing address and accessing the Child Tax Credit Update Portal. According to a November 2021 release, all online accounts will transition to ID.me in "summer 2022."

Nope, in the context I used it "Favourite" depends entirely on my personal preferences. The 747 is my favourite passenger aircraft just like Elle Macpherson is my favourite supermodel. There doesn't need to be any rationale behind those decisions other than what floats my boat.
