I hate it when people open the door to a shop and then stand in the open door talking, letting in flies or hot air. Get in or out!
When I was a kid that tiled area in front of the bar was a child free zone so can you please maintain this tradition and not deliver fire engines to your kids in that area. This would prevent kids that are more interested in getting the straw into their gobs than watching where they're going from doing a Kamikaze into my legs when I've got both hands full of beers and the subsequent mess of red drink in the victim's footwear.

In July while in Hospital, a police officer kindly gave me the details of the car driver involved with my motorcycle accident. This helped resolve the insurance claim. I still cannot walk, as part of my rehabilitation I can ride a bike. I put my crutches on my backpack while on my bike. .
My bike was stolen from my local pool last week. CCTV video showed a man stealing my bike which was locked at the front entrance of the pool.
The Pool management who saw the man stealing then riding my bike on video refused to show me the image of the thief suggesting a privacy policy stopped that. I wanted to show all the staff at the pool the image of the thief to hopefully identify him to enable the police to recover my bike. Staff members at the pool advised me photos of a thief who was stealing from the pool used to be displayed in the staff area to help them identify the thief. This was not done for the theft of my bike. New policy to protect thief's introduced by new management.
The police were called at the time the bike was stolen.
I went to the Local Police Station hoping to quickly recover my bike.I was told the report had not been seen by them, when it was it would be allocate to a police office to look at and there was nothing they could do until then.
24 hours later Police received the report and another 24 hours later the office went to the pool and was given a copy of the video of the thief stealing my bike.
3 days later I called police . They had not identified the thief and had not found my bike. I asked if I could have a picture of the thief to show people at the pool to try and get the identity of the man. Police Office claimed they have a policy of not helping victims of crimes. Almost every other police officer this was discussed with agree it was ironic. Some agreed to ask the investigating office if I could see the picture of the thief to help them identify him.
A call from the Policeman later who said the police would not show me the image and had not show them to the pool staff. He is aware I can submit and FOI application for the but warned me that was a waste of time as it would take months.
I am unhappy re theft of my bike and bewildered by both Police and Council seeming to help hide the identity of the thief
A week later ZIP from the Police man. My police mates above him suggest there is no legal impediment to him showing me or the pool staff the images.
My response1- FOI request lodged and no trouble expected getting all the footage now. Images will be lodged on Vic CrimeStoppers and shown to staff all of who are happy to help.
Went to chat with police man as now the images will be given to me I hoped he might help the investigation - He hid in the back room leaving another helpful police person to run messages. This was hoping to avoid the next bit
My response2 Complaint to Police now lodged. F.O.I. request for all notes of steps taken by the difficult police officer lodged
My response3 VACT action getting the pool management to pay damages for the loss of my bike secured to their property and secured not by their CCTV cameras
Pop corn ready- All I really wanted was my bike back. No idea why they feel the thief should be the PROTECTED species
Ps I do honestly respect 99% of Vicpol and the 99% of the helpful pool staff
