JEEEEZZZUUUZZZZZZZ Divs, You don't 'arf get yourself in the brown sticky/stinky stuff!

I reckon it was a Cop that nicked your Treadlie hence a coverup by his mates. Cynical? Moi? Yep.

Good luck with the retrieval, you didn't have this much aggro when sailing the seven seas, I'll bet.

I reckon no copper would notice if the knob pattern didn't match the gearbox pattern, e.g., a knob off an LT95 4-speed on an R380 5-speed.
    Won’t matter on a TDCi 6 speed.

The entire lever is a one piece unit...

That does it, I'm definitely going to just fill up the hole with silicone, rather than buy a whole new gear lever.

    Hey DiscoMick
Why don’t you get in touch with P38arover and ask him for the old Hillman Hunter gear knob
I am sure it will fit and he obviously ain’t gunna put it back on the Hunter
If he doesn’t want to part with it I may have a Hillman Hunter knob stashed away from way back when Grumpy old buggers thread

Bring it to my place. 5 minutes and my 5 year old will make it a two (or more) piece unit.

Thanks, but it's okay, I have a cunning plan, as Baldrick would say.

Sorry didn’t see the image until now

But as BradC said give it to his five year old or my 9 year old, a bit of imagination and LEGO and you’d have an “exact” replica in some wild shape or form🤣🤣

    Grumpy old buggers revenge

Got a blow back on the pool manager. Its run by a large group who operates pools and gyms for dozens of councils. I found all the directors emails and sent a polite version and CC'd a few Councilors and a CEO or two last night. Phone rang at 8am and a few times today with promise the pool/gym staff would be shown the picture of the thief and the manager would be educated on assisting police not just passing video to a poor police officer.

At the pool doing my physio while on the phone to the helpful Director. The manager looked pretty ****ed which made my day all the brighter as a certified grumpy bugger

Next in cue is the unhelpful poor policeman
