5 kids jumped my son at school from behind hitting him in the throat among other things a couple of days ago.
Night in hospital as docs feared he may have fractured his throat and were reluctant to do scans due to his age (13).
Son is fine, they could not even drop him and he got a few in himself.

What angers me is the lack of response.
These 5 kids were at school the very next day!
No punishment at all!!!! Teachers were there during the attack and know it was 5 on 1 and an attack from behind.

When i was a kid teachers were allowed to punish you and they WOULD!
When i was a kid parents would kick your ass for being silly like that.

No punishments, No accountability, No code of ethics!

Why am i grumpy?
Because most of us older buggers here will know a good clip across the ears is exactly what the youth of today needs.
It certainly taught me respect, and knowing my place in this big ugly world.

Call me old fashioned But all my kids got a clip under the ear or a kick up the bum if they stuffed up and so do my grandkids and NONE of them would even dream of ganging up like those cowardly little bastards did.
Spare the rod and spoil the child is EXACTLY what is happening in these "Enlightened" times

Terrible. I assume you have complained to the principal. Has the school called in the parents of the 5. Have they been suspended?

No suspensions or punishment at all as far as im aware.
The 5 were at school the next 2 days after.

A little more to the story sorry.
Once fight ended my son was taken to the office. Those 5 kids stormed the office trying to fight more!
All on camera i might add.
(perhaps an important side note, some of the 5 kids were aboriginal)

Yes i called the school the next day as i was awaiting a call from the school as they insisted we take our son out of the school on that day for fear for his safety.
They never returned the call.
He has not been back since.

When i called i complained, but was met with disrespect and quite frankly no care.
Principal said to me she viewed the footage and did not think it was a really big deal!

I ended the phone call soon after that and called the education department for which i am still awaiting a call back.
My Son or any other of my children will not be attending that particular school ever again regardless of this outcome.

If it had been one of her Rellies or Staff Members kids or there had been some major physical injury she would.
What a bloody disgusting Head/ Principal!

Surely the Medical opinion outweighs the Principal's?

Could assault at school involve the Polizei. It should in my world & I think yours.

As for police.... My son wont have a bar of it. I suggested we call them and have assault charges laid.
"No cops dad! was made clear to me".

I have to respect his wishes despite me knowing better. Very conflicted in that regard.
