I think Tassie Devils might be the Grumpy Old Farts of the animal world.
That personal touch always makes a difference
I’m not biased towards old or young girls (ladies)
I believe that when you purchase something from a retail outlet you will pay more and I don’t mind paying more if I’m getting that service, I’ll actually go out of my way to pay a little more to help keep someone employed, wether it be at a servo or at a supermarket or hardware
I refuse the self service counter and if I don’t get served fast enough I will place my goods/basket/trolley in the middle of an isle to keep someone employed (having to put all the items back again)
If you would like to call it “exceedingly good terms” 4bee, so bee it
Yes I don’t know the name of the servo
Or the name of the “old girl”
But I do go out of my way to keep her employed (and she isn’t that bad looking either)
Fuel prices still going down
The local near my place in the big smoke just dropped 2c per litre

I think Tassie Devils might be the Grumpy Old Farts of the animal world.

The Reptile Park at The Central coast has hand reared some to be an island against the cancer in Tassie, and the little ones roar and go on even when being handled.

Australian Reptile Park - BABY DEVILS EVERYWHERE! | Facebook
The Reptile Park has its "ark" up in the Barrington Mountains near Glouster. The company my brother works for has signed up for community service (not criminal service but charity service). They do their community service at the 'Ark' and a few weeks back my brother and some of the other employees went up there for work.
Despite the noise and appearances the Tassie Devil is pretty cuddly and mainly picks on its own kind. The tassie Devils at the ark have done really well and are breeding like rabbits so there are lots of cute little pups around. Unfortunately the local Wedge Tail eagles have taken up a liking for Tassie Devil pups and have been swooping into the compound and taking off with a large number of pups reducing the number of animals being successfully bred.
So the community service work was to start installing a strong "bird" netting over the compound where the pups are living while they are still small to stop the wedgies knocking them off.
An interesting side to the Tassie Devil story.

The Tassie Devil handler was saying the mothers have 8 or more babies, but there is only room in her pouch for 4, so only the four strongest survive. That's a tough introduction to the realities of life.
She said the babies are barely out of the womb and they start biting each other to establish dominance. So the ones we see are the toughest in the litter.
Imagine if human parents took that approach. The parents say, 'Now children, there are three of you, but we only have two beds, so one of you will miss out. Go for it! '
That could toughen up the little dears.
Tell you what is making me GRUMPY!
All the reports I am hearing, reading & listening to about how hard done by people are under the Corona Virus rules.
How horrible it is to be locked up in a 5-star hotel after 2 weeks cruising the Pacific.
How Human Rights are being violated by dinner turning up late.
How horrible it is that they can't go to a café with friends.
How tough it is having to take responsibility for & teach their kids.
How hard it is to work from home with the kids running around screaming.
Ad infinitum!
Tell you what:
Be thankful you have a job if working from home.
Be thankful you have a family.
Be thankful you have a house to be confined to.
Be very thankful you have internet, mobile phones & Social Media to stay in touch.
Be thankful you aren't in hospital on a ventilator.
Be thankful you are alive.
And be thankful this will end sometime & your life will go back to normal.
****es me off.
Present company excepted of course, because for some strange reason the mob on AULRO seem ridiculously up beat.
Must be because we drive Land Rovers.

PS Imagine if this had happened in the 60's or 70's?

...after driving a land rover I am reminded the simple things in life matter...
Who else can add something that their land rover does for them...
