Are you on a pension card- hope not but it might help!

It is highly unlikley your doctor would be at all bothered as long as you get the U/S and xrays which enables you to see what the issue is and then get treatment you may need.

A referral to a hospital out patients waiting list is here a 6month to several year waiting event! Get on the phone and ask re costs. Do not be afraid to even consider going a bit further to get the cost to a much better than the quote you just got

I was on Mulgumpin (Moreton Is), extending the shower block roof for solar panels when, trimming some corro roofing with a nibbler last Thursday, managed to attract Murphy's attention, with the result being a small piece of metal in the left, seeing gear. Eye protection was being worn, however the offending dag hit the cheek/nose section and shot up, under the goggles.
I washed the eye out, on finishing the trim and carried on working.

On the Friday morn, the eye was somewhat uncomfortable but there wasn't much I could do about it, as I was on the 1100 return vehicle ferry.
On arriving home, I gave the eye a good eye wash and then ran a pretty powerful, ex-computer magnet over it and things seemed to improve a bit.
The good wife arrived home yesterday morning, from swanning around Brissy with her sisters, took one look at it and before I knew it, I was being examined by a medico at a nearby clinic.
He had a poke around, gave the eye a swab, gave me a script for some ABs and commented that using the magnet, early in the piece, was a wise move.

So: #1 Murphy is alive and well!

#2 It doesn't hurt to have a good magnet in your kit!

I'm guessing the shower block is a charity project just to add the cherry on top! I hate the little dots the nibblers leave, so recently bought a shear/s attachment, I haven't had to use it yet.

Yep, RL, a freebie job, for the club. The nibbler I was using was the drill attachment type.
Any chance of a link, or pics re: the shears, please?

People not letting others merge when lanes on roads end thinking they’re entitled to be wedged right under the bumper of the car in front to prevent anything bigger than a small fly from getting in between them...

What about the Sydney drivers who use the left lane to gain priority over a line of queued traffic and expect to be allowed to merge. My bull bar usually decides other wise.

I let them in. A: Because they are not always queue jumpers
B: Because they actually help the traffic behind move faster.

There's a set of lights near my place that is green for just 3 seconds. for crossing the west link. Drivers line up single file there when there are 2 lanes, so only 2 or three cars get through at a time. It could be 6.
The reason they line up single file is, they're afraid they won't be allowed to merge on the other side.

I let them in 99% of the time. Near here is a two lane road despite being a clear way has dozens of cars parked right up to and often after the start time. those who knowingly move back to and from the clearly blocked left lane to get past one or two cars are fun to watch both in front and behind me as its usually a car park for a few km. I only have the 1% times with them really.

Waiting for a Business grade 5g router to us adding NBN as the fail over myself. The Current NBN/4G fail over is ****e! Its only Phones, Internet, Alarms, pathology, radiology, fax, email...... the No Bloody Network Kaos impactes from me. Had a chuckle as while typing above I got SMS alert from a Big NBN provider about work on the NBN which may impact 4 Augusts. Its just 8am to 4pm
